The field might be ruthless, a most virulent place
Our bodies cry out for help without source
A far away land with a strange and unfamiliar face
We've been stuck in this realm with little recourse.
Angrily, desperately, we fight for our lives
Soldier-to-Soldier: mano a mano, we meet
Odds for success against we few: Sheesh, it's one to five
With vicious red eyes, I can see our defeat
Some believe us ill prepared, unable to win
The orders are in, we can all go home.
Our friends will have selflessly bled and bravely fought
Us alongside them, joining the dance of swords in unison
To end this useless strife of old and new, we ought
Crimson liquids of life spill devoid of sight to suns
My comrades and your friends, unmoving and so done.
Helpless to save them, Vrae's army pushing and with us at bay
Yet you have the gall to claim so prominent, "We won?"
Such blatant bravado you must yield to truly so say
But you might as well say and accept the command
So be gone and live prosperous: We can all go home.
Nothing is stronger than us, now move and combine
That we may shift the war and combat the foe with strength of steed
Toss in dedication and purpose to our stride, in yours and in mine.
In the presence of gods and in name of brethren, take heed
We shall live forever in Legion's Field and in word
May the lords of nature forgive, for very few seem to care?
For the honor and love of life, says the eagle, majestic bird
Move forth in prevalence of defeat and steal what is yours if dare
Seems rage and desires are nae enough, so why bother?
Get out of mine sight... You can all go home.
Well may the golden showers of eternal life bless me
For the bloody field of battle and stories of lore, I come.
I shall forever dedicate the blade of mine to fight till it no longer is to be
And the enemy very well could slay this body, but my heart is home.
Sincere and pleading, I ask of ye friends and foes alike
To strive and war for what is by divine right ours this day
If you cannot, no worries: I will merely wield my bladed pike
Take to the field of dark regime and declare, "Here I stay!"
But who would go with me and would dare fight?
Answers of sacrifice matter not; you have all gone home...
So where for our enemy do we draw our line?
In the sand? In the air? Or maybe paper, what of blood?
To tell those who know not that this is our place: our shrine?
That each of us owns a part of this? Of this that once stood...
Shall we forget those who bore arms in defense of this inn?
Or write of and remember them as heroes unsung of glorious days past?
When you turn your backside to me in ignorance, is this not sin?
How hypocritical and lame...a sinner against sins, finally, at last?
Souls devoured swift in the lands of the dark gods' realm....
There is little left for battle...We might as well go home.
Off I trudge to claim back what you so effortlessly lost
To lay upon the flamed altar of sacrifice my life if it must be so
Children will play and no bard will ever sing of mine cost
But for a ranger's pleas to go unanswered, to that I saw whoa
Skilled hands of seasoned warriors shall shed my blood with those brave
The ones whom shall now turn face to my words and walk away,
I send with loved life, my regards, say my farewells and wave
Then with a turn of mine boot, I retreat with little to say.
Purple dawn of a crimson tide shall reveal how you all care
But the Roses nae care, I see: They can all go home.
Winning is all that I see, so in victory I be I must
There is nothing else to these eyes; no less, no more.
You do not fight for the things that my heart lusts
But off into the mists of insanity I go: farewell , mi amour.
Good fight and honored end to me as I was in bloodied seas,
Take the divergence to the martyrs, my sabre guided with snaps of wrists
That leads into a one-battle Armageddon for this world: I won't flee
Send them my blade, the curved edge held calmly in fists
No matter my cause nor actions nor deeds
Ends do justify the means: But go ahead, go home…
For the ones who would have fought with me this day: brave bards, courageous pixie and knights
To every one of my allies - Blue Roses, Black Roses, and whoever else be
I make with much thought and great sincerity one promise tonight
Whether I live or not, I will achieve my goal and what happens shall be.
Legends of valiant deeds of selflessness spawn in this world: this realm.
By permeated blood, high honors shall be imposed from gifted hands
Upon the deathly blades of grass soaked dark red, I hold my sword and helm
In defiant pride, I forget of losses heavy in this strange and forgotten land.
And staring in the eyes of the armies amassed, I wonder who of my people cared
But none come to mind and I realize they already went home…
Friends, comrades, I am so very young whether or not you see with clear eyes
Yet throughout all conflict internal and other, you had treated me as one of you
Even though so said, I am not sure of which caste I shall within die
A veteran of past war and excursions broad? Or another human to shoo?
All I ask is your help; all needed is your swift defense with blade
To fight back and deliver our humble dwellings on these dark and lonely days
Suppress those who would dare to enter, the armored nemesis that invade
Show to them the insuperable and impenetrable devotions of our ways
They might never believe, but who a man ever care
Cause after all, home is where we can go….
Now I go upon a journey to meet M'lady Fate
Strike ruthless with sword then attack a speared assault the evil
Of the putrid and decayed army of dead righteous that multiplies of late
Take from us the lives and all things we've made civil
I shant allow such acts, it must never in a millennium be so
With mad determination in my bearing, I show to them all defiance
Defending without give or mercy what is rightfully mine to own
Protect what is ours to keep; I call to all who would be in alliance
Unable to hold to our own and win, what can we accomplish?
Very little in mine thoughts: Be well, go home.
I make incessant pleas and I beg of you to stay…will thee?
Stand beside me and fight; cowardice is not for me, so let the gods cry “Havoc!”
We shall be triumphant if we stay together, my promise to be
As long as we hold to each other's strength, this is ours and ours it is locked.
Do you all as a people believe me insane, mad or rabid?
Am I to suppose you think I know not of trouble and hardships?
Well, I hold no misconception of pain; at it I scoff; do as I did
Make the enemies of merciless pride weep in apology, then kill: to the abyss they trip.
When all is said and done as well, you find yourself at peace?
What shall be done? I know…you can go home.
Be as strong as the dragons of ancient times in your last stands
Sound firmness and resolution of blood will spread like plague in actions
As their final warrior of knightly stature takes for his `hood our lands
When in death and shed crimsons are no more the remnants of his factions.
I will not flee a foot from the invaders; I will never run
In this world or next, you can forever count on me
If it be no more a friend or a leader: a brother: a son
To mine demise will I make my stand, and victorious will I be
Before then this time is uncertain and to forever in this time after
Heroes are formed and legends are made, but…where is this place we call -- home…
